News of the Chris Paul trade had barely broken before reports started coming out about how others wanted to join the party in Houston.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith reported on Wednesday that Knicks star Carmelo Anthony will sign with the Rockets if he gets a buyout from the Knicks. Anthony and Chris Paul are close friends.

“If Melo pulls off getting waived by the New York Knicks, getting bought out of his contract, he will go to Houston in all likelihood, joining Chris Paul and James Harden in Houston. That’s what I’ve been hearing over the last hour,” said Smith.
