A devastating Game 7 loss and what’s next for the Rockets

Picking up the pieces of a lost opportunity as Rockets fall 101-92 in Game 7

Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said the players were devastated and it showed.

“This one hurt,” said Trevor Ariza. “This one hurt real bad.”

“Heartbroken,” added Gerald Green. “I feel like I let everybody down.”

The Rockets fell in Game 7 at home Monday night 101-92 to the Golden State Warriors, ending their season. What made it especially painful was a string of 27 straight missed three-pointers and the knowledge that Chris Paul (out with a hamstring injury) could easily have been the difference.
